Hi Samir,

Thanks for the link. It will be very useful.

I am currently working on getting all my sites moved to a new host. I hope to have some time this weekend to address the new menu version, make it compatible with 2.3 and make it avail. I am most likely biting off more than I can chew but I must think big!

Please note that this site will be unavail very soon (within the next day or so) and all the info moved to my main site - www.webdezine.ca The menu will be supported and avail from that site from there on out.

Hi Sheri,

"WordPress 2.3 introduces our new taxonomy schema. Any plugin that queries against the old table will break horribly. Plugins that use the category API should be fine. This new schema replaces the categories, post2cat, and link2cat tables with three new tables that are more flexible. The first table is the terms table. It holds the basic information about a term."

See more here: http://codex.wordpress.org/index.php?title=Version_2.3:New_Taxonomy

Any idea on your timing with respect to getting back to this menu? I really like my blogroll menu display.

Thanks, Samir

you need to check out the z-index properties for the blocks into which the two conflicting areas reside. z-index is an inherited property, so the mother block will determine the layering of the children. You can still layer the children within the mother block though.

eg.
menu container: z-index=1000
content container: z-index=1

in order to use z-index, you must also define the position property.

eg.
position:relative OR absolute OR fixed

With the upgrade to WP 2.3, it doesn't look like this plug-in works anymore. It's a wonderful add-on to WP, and I hope that you continue upgrading it to work with the new taxonomy data model.

Hopeing someone can help me, i am working on redesigning the website of my nephews school and it is at the following link

http://www.crossvillechristian.org/

I have not started to edit it yet, but what i would like to do is set up this menu and be able to build all of the pages that are on the curent website, and have them in the menu, but seperated like they are on the curent web site, so for insteace it would have the about us and the 4 sub links, the student life and sub links, the who's who's and sub links, the classes and sub links, and the join us and sub links. i also would like to have a news link and an archive link that both work like the archive link does for the menu right now.

Can anyone give me any instructions on how to get this done, or at least some idea of how to do it on another menu if this one cant do it

You can email me at 53rdcards@gmail.com if you have some information, thanks

I'm interested in centering it and have struggled with my no where near perfect knowledge of css. If I swap the php code that inserts the menu (in header.php) and just put some text instead e.g. "Nav System" as a place holder - that text is centred now - but as soon as I swap it back to haveing the menu in that place it is left aligned.

I'd be really interested in getting it centred.

Any clues?

Cheers

I've tried the plugin and nearly got it going. My problem is that the menus when they drop down hide behind the content. I've got some experience with CSS expert but I'm not an expert. Any ideas?
